Women's soccer in Australia is set to receive a massive boost in coming years with the increasing rise in prominence of young Aussie-Croat teen superstar, Marijana Tabain.

GEELONG - A ten team Division One competition and promotion and relegation to and from Division Two are set to be introduced at this year's Australian Croatian Soccer Tournament as part of a major revamp of the popular annual sporting/cultural event.

CANBERRA - Last Saturday afternoon, prior to the ACT Premier League Round 2 clash between the O'Connor Knights and Queanbeyan City, the Croatian backed club announced a major partnership deal with the major sponsor of glamour A-League club Sydney FC, Bing Lee. 

CANBERRA - Reigning champions Canberra FC exacted some revenge on fellow Croatian backed outfit O'Connor Knights in last Sunday's opening round clash of the ACT Premier League at the newly opened Deakin Stadium.

According to devoted Melbourne Knights fan and a keen amateur statistican, Micky Jovanovic, the Knights' remarkable undefeated start to the 2008 VPL season is the Sunshine based club's best start to a league season since the championship winning 1994/95 National Soccer League season.
