Croaoke - all systems go for the New Gen’s big bash!

MELBOURNE - With less than a month to go before the inaugural Croaoke event at the Prince Patrick Hotel in Collingwood, the organising committee at 'The New Gen' are very excited by the prospect of a fun-filled evening for all.

"We are pleased to confirm that we will have more than 100 of the most popular Croatian songs ready to go on the night, as well as over 2,000 available to be loaded from our extensive list", the organisers confirmed.

Karaoke guru, Mijo Cica, who will be co-ordinating the performing side of the event, is confident that patrons will be delighted with the vast selection of tracks.

"We have the best zabavne, narodne, rock and folk songs ready to be sung at the top of everyone's lungs, and the process is quite simple and efficient in terms of selecting your track", Cica explained.

DJ Joko is busy preparing several mixes for the evening, including a ''fabulicious'' 1990s Croatian dance retro tribute, as well as all the latest dance and pop tracks from Croatia, plus the good time oldies and of course, any requests from guests on the night.

The format will include brackets of karaoke segments and DJ sets, which will allow any contestants to select their song to sing during the DJ bracket, therefore allowing an uninterrupted evening of top notch entertainment and Croatian music in the company of good friends.

"The emphasis is having fun and having a go. We know that it may take people a few drinks before their courage builds up, but we already have several confirmed participants that are just itching to stand up and have some fun", the organising committee spokesman confirmed.
