MELBOURNE - A former female vocalist of a popular Melbourne Croatian covers band is set to make a long awaited comeback with the group, possibly as early as next month.

Marijana Klarica, who was then known as Marijana Topalovic, was a long-time member of the popular band ''Magla'', before deciding to leave the group after marrying former Chelsea Hajduk captain Ivica Klarica and deciding to start a family.

According to one of the band members, Mato Sagolj, the south-eastern suburbs based group is excited about the imminent return of their former female vocalist.

''We're delighted to officially announce that Marijana will be returning to 'Magla'. All the band members are eagerly looking forward to her return, as our repertoire and performances will be given a whole new dimension over the coming months,'' Sagolj told 'The New Gen' exclusively on Tuesday.

Klarica is expected to make her comeback with 'Magla' as early as May, during a series of pre-booked private functions, although Sagolj is not ruling out the possibility that she may well return earlier.

Klarica's husband, meanwhile, will also be making a comeback of sorts. He will resume his soccer playing career with his old club, Chelsea Hajduk, as they seek promotion to Victorian State League One, which currently has two other Croatian backed clubs - North Geelong and St Albans Dinamo - within its ranks.
