Sunday, June 15, 2008 :: 114 Views :: 0 Comments :: Category: News

For those hundreds of Australian Croats intending to travel to Croatia this year, and who would like to improve their knowledge and understanding of the Croatian language, University of Split's Faculty of Philosophy is organising an intense four-week Summer School of Croatian Language and Culture.

The course, which will commence on Monday June 30 and will continue until Saturday July 26 will be held at the Faculty's campus in Sinjska Street, in downtown Split. The entire course, which includes a series of excursions and visit to various museums and galleries, costs a total of 3,300 HRK (approx $750 AUD).

Accommodation for course participants is organised via the Faculty and will be on the actual University Campus.

The short course offers language courses at different linguistic three levels: introductory, intermediate and advanced.

The courses are accredited with Sydney's Macquarie University as part of the credit system for the various Croatian language courses it offers through the Faculty of Arts.

For further information regarding the University of Split's Summer School, or to make bookings, email Sanja Skvorc at sanja@ffst.hr or visit the Faculty of Philosophy's website at: www.ffst.hr
